I just received this info in the mail last night and thought it would be interesting to hear from others that have signed up and became a member.
Has it been beneficial to you, or a waste of time. Explain your position one way or the other.
At this point, I'm leaning towards joining.

Please, discuss.

Personally I would not give them a dime after squandering millions on the Roger Edmondson debacle.

Hi Leon !  Can't contribute to much. I all also received the mailing.  Mass mailing, trolling for bucks?  I didn't see much value for the amount they wanted.  I filed in the recycle bin.  In the past I have supported various large organizations and find quiet often find they spend a lot of money for CEO's, directors, etc, etc..
And they evolve into a money gathering organization to continue THERE well being.   One organization I am familiar with is a front for an insurance company.  After you become a member your junk mail increases dramatically.  I guess I am not a fan of big organizations.

I have been giving some thought to the Motorcycle Sport Touring Association http://www.ridemsta.com/.
But I better send Marsh some money for this site first.  Being retired I watch where my money go's so you have to put that into the mix of my opinion.

IMO, the AMA is like most other large groups. 90% of what they stand for is good for the members and the other 10% makes no sense and often times counter productive.

I am a member of MSTA (Motorcycle Sports Touring Association). I have attended one of their rally's and had an enjoyable weekend. I have found this organization to be focused on the members and to the joy of riding.
