Been hearing a speed related howl coming from the front end for about a year now.  Was fearing it was a wheel bearing.  Finally pulled the speedo cable and noise is gone.

Crap!  I have the dreaded speedo howl.  Any chance I can save this?

Depends on wether it`s nocturnal or not.
If it's only of a night time it`s easily saved, but you`ll need a sharp wooden stake!
If it`s day time, just shift it up a gear!
A little light oil will alleviate her squealing, but if it`s day and night .....can only suggest ear muffs, or something digital for relief, superman!!  :sorry:

FJ_Hooligan,

After a year, I don't know.  It could be too late to fix things now, though.  This trick worked for me.  Hope it helps you.
