Before my last trip to the U.S. in December, I left my FJ with my Hungarian mechanic. Yes, I like to do my own maintenance, but this guy always gives me a really good deal. For example, a couple years ago he rebuilt my forks installing new seals, oil, everything for about $50. Anyway, he recently cleaned my carbs and rebuilt my starter (with a rebuild kit I had already) for about $50 total. It's sometimes not worth my time to do this work. When I travel to the U.S., I always bring back for him a random special tool that is hard to find here in Hungary. He always appreciates it. It's fun.

My FJ had some starting issues in the hot summer days - VERY slow to turn over. It almost did not restart when stopping for fuel. Now it's perfect with no hesitation. Of course, the weather is colder now. I'm confident everything is fine now. :good2:
