In minnesota if you register your bike as a classic you have the option of using a license plate from that year instead of a state supplied classic plate.  Here ya go if anyone is interested...  85 is when I graduated high school, gettin' older :)

Kansas has an 'Antique' tag available. I am not sure how old the vehicle has to be to qualify. One time registration fee and no registration required there after. I believe it is 30 years.

You need to check the driving rules for an antique registration.  In many states it's only "legal" to ride/drive an antique vehicle to and from an "auto-related event."  It is not intended for use as a daily (or even weekend) driver.
