spent most of yesterday/ last night doubled over with stomach pain until about 3am when contents of said stomach decided that they would like to leave stomach through my mouth/nose followed by the worst bout of shivering since I got caught in a blizzard on a z1300 60 miles from home without waterproofs
couldn't sleep for noise of gale outside
took day of work
about 8.30 my wife debz came back from dropping kids of for school bus and told me the FJ had blown over
went out to try to lift it but just didn't have any strength and when I tried the effort made me throw up  so I decided it would have to lie there
back to bed

from there on things improved
debz contacted a mate who drove about 30 miles to stand the bike up and I haven't puked for 5 hours
will check damage to bike tomorrow so far I know it needs a new brake lever and the air scoop is cracked
any way thanks, Alistair  hope you get your electricity back soon

Thanks   my friend
turns out wasn't indigestion
went to see doc on Friday as I still felt rough  and she sent me straight to hospital apparently I was about this colour
spent the weekend in hospital on I.V. antibiotics  and fluids
apparently I've got a gallstone blocking the central bile duct which has caused the gall bladder to be infected.... now I'm home still on oral antibiotics till Thursday when I've got to go back in to get gallstone removed  and then wait for a few weeks  to be sure gall bladder infection is cleared up so that they can take that out, I still feel weak but not as bad as I was
the front brake lever for the fj arrived today so I'll get out on it tomorrow if I can sneak past the wife who wants me tied to the bed  and not in a way I'd enjoy

Good news on discovering what was wrong, now you just need to heal and get your strength back. Seems odd they have to heal up your gall bladder just so they can remove it.  :scratch_one-s_head:

Oh......gall stones. I can feel your pain. I had a gall stone attack in Livonia, Michigan after my niece's wedding and got to ride home to Arkansas doubled over in the passenger seat of my wifes car. We stopped for the night just outside of St. Louis, still wishing I could die and end the trip on a happy note. Passed the stone sometime in the night, felt like a new man. Hope you get to feeling much better very soon.

that's what I thought but apparently there's a lot more stones in there and  they don't want to take it out if its infected asc the risk of spreading infection to other organs is high
the pain wasn't as bad as passing a kidney stone ...........that really stung
