Need help on GSXR rear wheel swap

I have a 1990 GSXR750 rear wheel complete with sprocket drive and rotor.
My question for you guys that have done this is, what year and model range do I want to look for when it comes to the rear caliper bracket, caliper and link from the caliper to the frame?

Pictures and details of your completed mod will be greatly appreciated.
I have looked on the site here for what I'm asking for, but I know that the link/bracket has been mounted differently so gathering your experience in one thread might help others looking for the same info.

Thanks.

I am guessing that you want the same year caliper and bits. Use the parts fiche to see what years have the same part numbers. My GSXR rear is all 92 from a 750, Periwinkle if you please....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Here are a few photos of my rear wheel mod. All of the parts except for the rotor were sourced from a 92' GSXR750. The rotor is from a Suzuki RF900.

The rear caliper hanger is the same for the 88'-92' GSXR750/1100
The rear caliper torque arm is the same for the 88'-92' GSXR750

As an added note. I used a standard length 92' GSXR750 Galfer braided brake line. The Yamaha banjo bolts will not work in the Suzuki caliper.

I hope this helps

Fred, time for a new chain, you look maxed out for adjustment. The rear looks just like my 92' GSXR ass end....

Mark, good eye. I had also installed a 38t sprocket and that made the chain way to long. Rest assured it was remedied.

Look at the axle location in the first photo..... New chain installed there.

Thanks Fred, the pictures help. I've been looking on ebay for the parts and see a lot of newer GSXR parts, hoping they might work. The 86-92 parts are hard to locate.

Here is what you are looking for in a TQ rod if you want to just bolt the stationary end up to one of the foot peg bolts. You will have to shim it out a bit with washers and use a longer foot peg bolt and lock nut. Another option is to weld a bracket onto the swing arm and use a shorter rod.

Here is another caliper bracket. When scanning e bay you can spot these fist by just looking for that deep arch to start with :). This one is priced pretty good. With free shipping.. ?
