FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Gold is a much better chick magnet than matt black, especially when it comes down to USD forks.     :i_am_so_happy:   Pete.

Gold is a much better chick magnet than matt black (or any other color), especially when it comes down to Gold.

Mines been flat black for 10+ years now.  I've used Rustoleum "high performance" flat black.  For a cleaner you can use Windex (basic window cleaner) and "polish" it with WD-40 on a rag.

Most recent version...

Note - don't know for sure you have access to these particular brand products, but whatever is locally available should give good results.  Good prep work is still important wih spray paints.  Also, they may not be as durable as traditional paints, but are a lot easier to touch up or repair.

Post pics when you're done!

That's a Pissa mate also how hard was it to get the extra height out of the rear end how did you lift it?

The lower cowling came with the bike when I purchased it. The brand is Lockhart Phillips which no longer produces aftermarket for the FJ's. Here is a link for a fiberglass unpainted lower fairing for your 88'

what swingarm is that you've fitted?

fj1289

Swingarm is a first gen FZ1(think it is called the Fazer in some markets).  The instructions should be in the files section.  Also take a look at www.fjmods.co.uk/  lots of great info there.

Rear ride was changed using DIY shorter dogbones made from steel plate.  These have two sets of holes - other set lowers it for drag racing (haven't used that set in a while).
