New to the sight and having a hard time finding a thread that describes actual removal of carb bank from bike. Does heat shield come off with carbs? etc. Thanks for any help. Rick

Heat shield stays with the bike.  Does your bike have the stock air box or is it fitted with pod filters?  Good read here:  http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=655.0;attach=293
