Klav copped a feel of my chest armor at the WCR and I didn't feel a thing...

Klavdy may not be the sacred cow, Infidel comes to mind, but he is also a testament to ATGATT. I was there, his bike slid a few hundred feet and slammed into the mountain wall (rock wall) hard enough to bend his forks, break the front tire bead and tweak the frame. He was moving at a good clip when the dreaded Pine Cone checked his ride. I don't know how many feet he slid but he had minor injuries and is one more poster child proving that gear is gold when it comes to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)... Gear is worth it, the heat and comfort sucks, but when you get if off at the end of a ride, it is really cool....  :good2:

You are not special. You are not unique. If you ride your motorcycle....really ride.....It's not a matter of 'if' you fall off...just a matter of 'when'.

Falling off sucks. Falling off with proper gear still sucks, but sucks less...

One of my favorite stories from Jon Cain:
Jon, wearing all his gear, is out riding on a warm summer day when he pulls up to a signal and stops. A Harley rider wearing a tank top, shorts and a beanie helmet, pulls up next to him as asks, "Isn't it hot wearing all that gear?" To which Jon replied, "Yea, it's warm, until the time comes that you really, really need all this gear...then it's pretty cool."
