The clutch on the FJ is a great unit until the single stock diagram spring looses some tension. The addition of the second spring is the cheapest and easiest fix. The removal of the dampening spring from the last clutch disk and replacing that disc will give you a little more surface area. The modification of the pressure plate in front of the clutch pack is not necessary. I use all stock Yamaha clutch discs & steels, remove the dampening spring from the back of the pack and add a large disc. This make the pack 7 large and 1 small at the front. The dual stock diaphragm spring and it has no problems pulling around my racecar that weighs 1538lbs, and had to drive to 8" wide racing slicks. The is a picture of the shown here: http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;cat=19;u=80

As far as the shift forks are concerned, the newest versions of the forks are reinforced and longer to prevent flex on acceleration. The forks also work well enough not to cause any jumping out of gear issues that the earlier bikes had. Again, these forks have no problem pulling around my racecar.

If the drive cogs on the transmission gears are damaged too much, the shift fork will not complete the repair. Both side of the engagement system must be inspected to determine if the gear need to be changed.

I have all of the above mentioned parts in stock which includes shift forks, clutch springs, frictions, steels, bearings, and whatever small parts might be needed to bring the clutch up to it's old performance level.
