Can Anyone tell me if this is normal?, I found something that looks like Epoxy at the bottom left where the timing is , The timing cover had a small crack in the same stop and the PO tried to fix the crack, Should this be there or should I try and remove? Thanks for any help you can provide

Looks like the bike was probably dropped, and someone repaired the case so the gasket would seal.

You may be able to clean it up some inside, you may have to leave the JB weld on the gasket surface though.

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Thanks for the info, Cant find a crack on casing, but there was a small crack on the cover, And most of the gasket in this spot was missing as well, thanks again

That is an indication the bike has been down and that portion of the case was ground away as it slid across the ground.

Make sure the surface is level so it does not cut/pinch/damage the new gasket.
