I not totally set on getting rid of my FJ, This was just something that the wife and I have talked about, If I keep the FJ, I'll be alone when I ride, Because if I get another H-D, She wont get back on the FJ

I'm down to three bikes, my '89 FJ, a '81 XS650 for around town errands, and 1983 Venture XVZ1200 for when my wife wants to ride. I've tried a few Harleys and rented one for a weekend. I'd have one if the price was right, but I'd still keep my FJ and the little bike. For $1300 as a trade it's not worth losing it. You can always sell it and get more. When I bought the XVZ in 1986 it was my only bike for about three years. Once I picked up a '80 XS650 and started using it as an everyday bike I was able to save the Venture for the long and special rides. I obviously recommend keeping it, but I can understand trading/selling it as well.
Good luck,
Anson

Just curious of why you bought the fj coming from the hd you and the wife enjoyed
Fintip is correct, I just bought the FJ back in Feb. I like the bike, and don't want to see it go, Has lots of power, got on the throttle once or twice, but the speed thing for me isn't really there any more, At this juncture in my life, I like to take it easy, My wife much rather ride on the Harley for comfort reason as well, and stated if i get another Harley she wont set foot on the FJ again, She is the most important part of my life and wont ever leave her home while I'm out for a ride, If i was still a single man.  and could have both, I would never sell the FJ, I'd keep it for sort spurts around the neighborhood and the Harley for the long trips, If i do end up getting another H-D, I would just rather is the FJ with someone how would ride it rather than see it waste away in the garage

Would your wife ever consider a ride of her own?  Some friends of mine went that way when they couldn't come to agreement on what bike suited them best. He was having issues with his knees with their gold wing at lights and she hated the back of his concours. Their solution was a boulevard for her and he got to do some upgrades to his concours with the sale of the gold wing.
