92 finally got title and plate

So I bought this 92. Thought wow this is the first bike that I won't have to do anything to. It only has 7400mi on it. And he replaced EVERYTHING on it. I asked him why he replaced the steering stem bearings if it only had 7400mi. He looked at me like I was stupid and said "Because that's what you do". He has all of the receipts for everything. He found brand new flatslides. Brand new Vance n Hines exhaust.
So one of the flatslides was spewing gas. I was planning on putting the flatslides on my 1350r. So I put the stock carbs that he completely rebuilt after he took them off. Look cleaner than new. Back on. Started it up. Spewing gas out of the same carb as the flatslides. I called him up. He said that he didn't replace the fuel line between the filter and the fuel pump (he replaced everything else!??) And that maybe it was deteriorating inside. It had filled the cylinder over night. So I replaced the pump too. It shouldn't have filled the cylinder if fuel pump was good.
Cleaned the needle on the float. Put it all back together. It started no spewing gas. But now the parking lights stayed on. I took the ignition switch and handle bars
 switches apart. They all look brand new. Checked grounds. Everything I could. Still on. So I put a waterproof battery disconnect switch on it.
Rode it to DMV. New title new plate.
This thing has more power than any stock fj I have ever ridden. It'll spin the back tire while lifting the front comming out of  a corner. Feels like my 1350r.
None of the many many receipts he has say anything about internal mods. Maybe the guy that owned it before him did something to it.

IMHO Those 4th Gen non abs FJ's are the best of the breed. ('91-'95)
  Even though a tad bit heavier than the early FJ's, the lighter wheels, better brakes, better wind protection, and that rubber mounted engine more than makes up for it....

Certainly the best of the breed for touring Pat, but I'd say not overall - not sure about the USA models, but here, the 3XW also came with poorer quality, more basic, front suspension and a rot-prone steel swinging arm. The front suspension and additional weight up-high at the front had a big negative effect, spoiling the bike for sportier riding.

For some reason also, all of the road tests of the day here, reported the 3XW to be quite a bit slower (top speed and 1/4 mile times) than the 1TX and 3CV models, most likely due to the larger (wider and taller) fairing and screens and the extra overall weight.
