Welcome Jake, along with the carbs, be sure to have your mechanic check the valve lash. No telling the last time it was done. FJ's are not happy with tight valves $$$$
Sounds like you will be going right by my son's house in Everett.

Congrats on your FJ!   Pat

Just wanted to return and post a photo of my bike.  I took the chin fairing off because it's in pretty bad shape, only two bolts actually holding on.

Hmm...tried to insert image as a link but it doesn't work.  I'll have to look around to see how you folks do that here.

Have a great day, all.  Thanks for a great site and resource.  It reduced my "oil level" warning light anxiety.  :good2:

How bad was the fairing? Was it repairable? Interested in selling it (or donating it)? Mine is pretty beat up, maybe I can make a good one out of 2 bad one.

Jakester

Thank, craigo!

Motorheaddad - I doubt it's repairable.  I'll try to get a photo of it up on the site in the next couple of days.  However I was searching online and found this:

2 busted chin scoops + fiberglass= 1 good chin scoop.  :good2:
