I'd like to see a post in some of the subforums as an organizational aid.  Just a link and description to particularly informative pots, arranged logically.  Problem is someone would need edit capability for unlimited time (or that/those fora could have it).  Making it sticky would be rather easier.

This could be done in two ways that would work decently.  The first (my preference) is to have a single sticky thread in each forum with loads of info linked or put into it.  Either the thread needs locked or admin/delete other's postings power to keep it cleaned up and readable.  What I'd suggest is doing it by the fische first, i.e., here's a link to a parts fische picture, here here here and here are links to various problems (each link being described briefly) or information about parts that belong to this portion of the manual.  Here's the next diagram and more links, etc.  In another post or another section of this (sticky) post could be things that aren't related to or are for troubleshooting conditions that are more overarching, i.e., my bike understeers on thursdays on the way home from the bar, do I check the forks fische area or the tires--no, you stop drinking so much on thursdays, it's the rider.

The second way is a subforum that would be mostly read-only, called the library or something comparable, and put threads referring to posts in it (or copy/move posts to that sub).

I'd just like to see this forum be more useful as a reference to newcomers, or hell, even some of us who don't remember everything all at once (but we do know it all, just ask...).  Because there's so many people here, many with good ideas, and some aussies, the volume of postings can make it difficult to find specific info or troubleshooting stuff.  Often what happens is we end up with multiple posts from different people about how their carbs are leaking fuel on the floor, or the gas tank seems to meow sometimes.  I'd like to see all of this information condensed into an area that can point people in the right direction, so they have more time to join in the mocking of the conniving convicts.

Hell, I'd even volunteer to write the posts and maintain them.  I post enough nonsense, I may as well have a reason to post actual content :P
