I've been reading, asking  and searching but still have yet to find the answers so hopefully someone who's done this swap can help out here. I read something about there being two rear calipers that are similar looking, something about the bleed nipple to look for but I still can't find what the detail is and what if looks like I saw one.  Simple question - is this one below right or wrong?  Also, I see some of these hanger brackets have a bearing while others do not, I see why the bearing is there but is the one without an earlier design?  That said, I looked at the pix again while posting and it seems only one side has a bearing - or is that just a recess I am seeing rather than a bearing?

On the wheels, I know the 90-92 wheels have the curved spokes, but later ones look straight in the fiche while you see wheels on ebay that are curved but stated from a 93, 94, 95, etc - are the sellers wrong or is the fiche?  Basically, what year did they change to straight spokes?

Also, are there any fitment differences between the 84-85, 86-87, 88-90 but leaving out the 91-93 since they have a steel swinger.  I see lots of posts about how these fit just perfect but no one mentions if there are any differences from one series to another.

I'm pretty sure that is the same type of caliper as I used, have a look at the first photo in the link below for my wheel swap below. I have mine mounted exactly the same as your second photo. I'll have to have a look at mine again, but I know it swivels easily when its all bolted together, (without the brake arm of course)

Theres a few photos in there that might help,  :good2:

Well, it looks like I have a package from a 90 on the way, spotted the stuff on ebay broken into packages but not how I wanted so i called the number they had, asked if they would do one with everything I need and they would.  Spoke to the guy to ask if he had an FZR front as well which he didn't but he asked what I was doing with it.  When I told him he was very interested, I pointed out that if he packaged these and listed them as FJ 17" conversions he would sell them, I sent a list of what was needed - so keep your eyes open for complete packages.  Price was I think, reasonable, actually my offer but $250 including shipping for everything seems pretty good compared to what others want for just a bare wheel.
