I got my new bike home and it runs and starts but seems to be out of whack. I tore the bike down and the carbs look clean but noticed that one diaphragm is weak and one is shot. I also noticed on the air box the cover wasn't closed all the way. There is also gas in the air box? The bike was running OK but sticking on the throttle and popping out of the exhaust. Do you guys think these are some of the main issues? I looked up these diaphragms and they are like $80 each? If so I am not sure what to do :(

Use the search function, alternate diaphragms can be swapped for much less than that. Search "diaphragm"....

I ordered some diaphrams from that site. Thanks for the info. The bike has a popping out of the exhaust and needs some throttle to stay running so I am assuming it is running lean? If so I know I have two bad diaphrams and that about all I can see is wrong? Is this my problem? The bike has a V&H full exhaust setup on it and a k&n. The Carbs are very clean and the previous owner said he did a rejet on them. I want to put Uni-pods on the bike do you think I will need another rejet or is this something that there is enough in adjustment for?

The carbs looking clean and actually being clean are two totally different things.

Poke around the files section for carb cleaning instructions and order this kit:

Do a deep carb cleaning, replace all the o-rings and such.  Then you know where things stand and won't be fighting what the PO did or didn't do...

+1 The air screws may be too lean and this will cause popping, but a through cleaning is first. The screw and o ring set is best thing you will do for your carbs. Hope this helps.
