On Saturday I sold this to someone near Portland, OR, they drove up to Washington to take it home.

And on Sunday we took a drive to Portland to see a (very) few sights and bring home a new (to me)  Nikon D3 digital body, bringing me out of the film world 33 years after my first camera - a Pentax ME Super.  Stayed at Jantzen Beach where I remember playing hockey as a kid at the then new arena and seeing the billboard for the theater playing Jesus Christ Superstar.......dam, I am getting old. Somewhere along the way, this followed me home from Portland, even had it's own trailer........weird. :unknown:

Very nice! Congrats. That has to be one of my favorite color combinations. What a beauty.

I've retired my trusty Canon A-1 after 28 years of service. It's not just the camera body, but what am I gonna do with all those lenses I've collected over the years?

If you were a Nikon guy you'd still be using them.  :sarcastic:  A few months back I decided I was gonna get back into photography again, last time was around 98 with an F4 or two.  Bought a pristine F5 body one zoom and a 600 f/4 circa 1978, all manual focus, 13.lbs beast shot a few rolls and realized that film and processing did NOT get any cheaper in the last 15 years and digital offered amazing ISO speed I would never get with film so what the h*77.  I can still use that old AI 600 with this newish D3 body and only lose autofocus.  Young kid I bought it from was very knowledgeable about how it worked it what it could do but hadn't a clue what it was like using film and actually focusing a lens with your fingers. LOL

Very nice looking indeed!, By the pic. It looks flawless, I have the same color scheme, but it has shown it age some

The pix make it look nicer than it really is - im sure there are more but at a glance there are a few issues that need to be addressed:

New clutch lever
New grips
Replace mirrors
Replace shift lever
Replace ceter stand
Replace LH air scoop
Replace front half of front fender

Rear brake pads and rotor aren't far from needing replacement but that can wait for the 17" conversion and FZR front wheel upgrade.  Overall not a bad bike for the price - paid $2700 with the trailer and its obvious that it spent much of its life garaged so most thing are in decent shape. Perfect candidate for restoration.
