I know, it's on here somewhere. I have been looking for the last 1/2 hour and can't find them. I need the part numbers for the oil filters. :flag_of_truce: :dash2: Could somebody please repost them for me. Thanks Big R.

Also, At most auto parts stores, Walmart, K-Mart Look 1988 Acura Integra 1.6L filters and you will be all set. (The Wix part number that Randy carries crosses over to identify it as used on the Acura)

Not to start an oil topic or anything like that . . .

All oil filters are not created equal.  Some spin-on oil filters have an anti-drain check valve, so the filter stays full of oil when the engine is off.  When you start up, with these better oil filters, the engine gets full oil flow immediately.  Without that check valve, the oil pump has to fill up the oil filter, before the bearings start getting any oil.  A lot of engine-wear happens in the first few seconds, then, when the filter has gone dry.

I can't name every brand of oil filter which has the check valve, but WIX filters do have it.  A good parts-guy can probably tell you which brands of oil filter will have the check valve, also.

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

And if you are really analretentive about oil then check how well your filter cleans. Some are wide open while others catch some of the small stuff... [Stir the pot smiley]....

I use WIX or NAPA Gold (same filter mfg by WIX).  Spin on filter is the only way to go on the FJ...
