It was one of those days.  hadn't planned doing what I did today. It all started when I went to put my mirror back on after the 3rd time of the glass man stuffing it up. Mirror replaced and rattled like hell. Now.....alls good. Well the mirror is anyway. I put it back on and just happened to knock the indicator and it appeared to be loose. At that point I should have walked away. Noooooooo not Me i just have to fix it and can't walk away till it f@&ked up. So I got the trusty screwdriver as you do and proceeded to tighten it up, but it wouldn't tighten. So I loosened it and that's when the magical fuck up fairy waved her magic wand and presto the piece off the back of the fairing falls out.  well that set me in a mood thought oh this will be easy!!! Just take out the indicator and glue it on. wrong!!! I had to strip nearly everything to get to the piece. I just dropped short of removing the fairing totally when I looked at the side mould and thought....yep if that comes off its not going to end well. It looked like it wasnt coming off easy. So as luck had it I found a 3 inch bolt that fitted the screw thread of the piece that broke off.    plastic resin glue is a wonderful thing. 4 hours of cursing and swearing and with the indicator pulled out the way as it wouldn't come out totally I managed to hold the piece in place while the resin set. Then gently put the indicator together.    yay on a winner. Until I saw the headlight adjuster has fallen apart. Unfortunately it's all back together and now I have to address the headlight aimer adjuster. I'm waiting on info to see if it's missing bits as it doesnt connect to anything it's just short of the light. Job for another day. Maybe

I shouldn't laugh, but I've been there so many times I can completely relate.  Some of the best examples for me have been when I'm trying to improve on something that works fine.  Add a little impatience and that damned fairy has the field.  At least I've matured enough to laugh at myself instead of throwing shit around and yelling at inanimate objects...

   ...I`ve had a day like that too . Well not quite as bad , Mate of mine Mick came over today to do my Valve shims . Stripped the bike for him before he got here and all was well . He came over check and reshimmed , job done . Now all I have to do it put it back together .... .... rocker cover on ... bolts ....1 ...2. ..3.... 4....5...6...7...SNAP ....Didnt even go to tighten it yet just finger tightened it , put the ratchet on and it broke first turn so it must have been over tightened previously and was about to go ... ...... .....Feckin hell ... ...mmmmm what am I gonna do about this . Scratched head , ...had a fag *cigarette for our American cousins! *....."vicky..(wife)!" ...."put the fucking kettle on" ... there was nothing I could do about it today , I have to go to my dads workshop to use his proper drills and taps and re-do it  . For now i`ve put the remaining bit of the bolt back in with the rubber bung and fiberglassed over it with p60 . Thankfully its not leaking and is rock solid . ...Anyway ....thought this may cheer you up ...at least you dont have to drill and tap your head  !!

well you just reminded me I still need to fix my turn signal mount . It currently is artfully held in position by black electrical tape .

my fj is not the prettiest of the bunch , but stands out with character galore . Yes I do believe in colored duct tape.
