yes, this has been weighing on my mind for a while now.  if you recall, we don't have a delivery option for this place, or at least i don't recall.  in the past, i believe we have gone to the lumber yard and picked thru their scraps.  so we will need a pickup truck.  i also have my trailer, but it has no sides to it, which could be a problem.

we also have the issue of how to get the fire going.  do we know if calvin and/or frank are attending, i.e. the owners of the dragon breather?  if not, i'd suggest we all pitch in with either some homemade firestarters, or some of those fire logs we bought at walmart one year.

don't be silent here, those of you who are coming, let us know what you think.

Well I have a truck, big enough to haul most anything. We also have a trailer, but same problem as you, no sides.
I can pick up some of the firestarter.
Waiting on the rest of you to chime in.

Just got a message from Calvin that he's not coming.  Getting the wood shouldn't be a problem with all the trucks/trailers.  A wad of paper and some charcoal lighter fluid will do the rest.  Not near as cool as the dragon but it'll get us there just the same.

I just talked to a nice lady at Tellico Lumber... she says yes at this point there is "some" but maybe not even a truckload. Business is slow and they haven't been producing much scrap. She also says no need to call or even come in the office... just show up between 7-4:30, pull down to it and load it up.

I guess we'll have to wait and see just how much is there... Dean may have to make a run looking for downed trees

troy, yeah, that's what we've done in the past, just driven up to the scrap pile and loaded up, didn't check in with anyone.  i'll keep an eye out for 3' wide tree stumps on my way down from cinti.

ok so if Jeff and I ride out on Monday (& we will) we will plan on being back by 3:30ish. I talked to NancyG today and she said her and Jack are planning on getting there about 4:30 Monday.

tRoy I promise I'll have some wood for a fire Monday night. Maybe not the size of which you are acustom to with rally fires, but a fire nonetheless.
