How on earth do you get the crankcase breather hose back on the airbox?????

I'm putting my carbs back on and trying to get the airbox back down in there.
There is absolutely no room to reach in there and reattach the crankcae breather hose to the airbox.
Anyone have any tricks for that?

Before  put on the UNI pods, I would use a screwdriver to pop that back in. Just levered it against the rack/angle iron bracket that holds the carbs together, IIRC.

oh this was the hardest part of working on my bike, i hate this part. but i used a long i mean a very long needle nose pliers and a flat blade screw driver. once i go this dam thing from harbour freight it still take a few min to get it on, but it goes on. i bought two pairs. one i used a die grinder cut some groves for the ring. i cant explain it but youll get it once you have these two items.

Maybe I am missing something here but Why would you try to stick carbs in with airbox attached?? " Method of Ease" is to insert carbs after airbox is in place, sure you have to fight rubbers abit but that is more technique than having the unfortune or good fortune of having been born with female hands. Also keep the airbox, no measurable difference on a dyno with" stupid pods" and when you need to get under the tank to adjust carburetors you can prop up tank in near vertical position, sticking mounting ears in between airbox and subframe.( just make sure tank is not more than half full or you will have minor leakage out of cap vent ) Cheers, and Yamaha Ha HA HA to all

The tank prop up can be achieved without unhooking gas line, thereby allowing quick access to carbs for adjustment of fuel/air and synchro. Eliminating any silly lawnmower gas can or plastic bottle half assed shade tree mechanic engineering.
