Hello everyone!! I have a question that hopefully someone can help me with. I have purchased an FJ with an FZ1 swingarm. The previous owner had made a pair of suspension links to get the rideheight where he wnted it. I would like to replace these with adjustable links. I have emailed soupys performance a number of times and have received no response. 5 e-mails. Does anyone who has made this conversion know of another source for adjustable lowering links? Or have any ideas? Thanks again. John

soupy is offering the lowering links on ebay for the 92/93.

The listing states " If you need custom length links made for a custom ride height, we can do that.  Just email us.  soupy@soupysperformance.com "

When you email, include the bolt diameter and length (or range of lengths) of links you want. That will help them find an existing link that will get the job done for you. Also gives them good info to help you too.

Question for owners of the Soupy's links:

Is the sleeve nut portion of the link aluminum, or stainless steel?       :scratch_one-s_head:

Thanks, Pat.  I'm looking at 'rolling my own', and found them the sleeve nuts in Al, but not SS yet.

But, I've only begun to look.

I've still got a couple of linkage arms to rebuild, might as well do some nice dogbones whilst I'm there.

It sounds like soupys are the only ones to see. One member had ordered a pair for a 1992 and received the wrong ones. I just cannot get a response. I sent them bolt diameter and length dimensions. Still no response. 12 mm bolts and 117mm length. I am sure there are links in that size available but there are no specs to tell me the sizes available. They just say we have dog bones for Suzuki Gladius or Honda shadow. If there was a spec for the sizes available I would order a pair that way.  It is winter here but I hate doing things last minute in the spring!! Thanks again for all your input!!!

You may want to try Precision Motorcycle in Virginia Beach Va. 757-248-8004

"With lowering your bike from up to 1.5", the results are truly remarkable. In real terms this means an essential difference in how you fit your bike and the comfort and control handling characteristics for a longer ride will be greatly enhanced. All work is carried out with heavy duty industrial machinery and years of experience.Whatever type of motorbike you have, we can make it a custom build for a much lower price tag. Make your own from scrap at a static length, experiment a bit and make a good set once you've found the height you like.  No worries.

Well today someone from soupys replied and apologized for the delay. I gave him detailed photo's of what i need. The idea is simply to fine tune the set up. After having ridden only stock FJ's my whole life I finally have one that is modified. So I have ordered a Penske shock . The bike has an FZ1 swingarm and a 3.5 inch front rim from an FZR1000 so I imagine it will be a revelation to me when I ride it for the first time. I don't want to start making pieces in the spring so ...... Soupys it will be.
