I am debating on which to go,Delkevic cans and new collector box or a vance and hines pipe. I would like some opinions about both pro and con. How much of a jetting change am I looking at with the Delkevic setup vs. the header? What do you think gentlemen? Thank you for any input. big r

Hi Big r,

I put the stainless Delkevic collector and 18" tri-oval muffler set on my 92 FJ.  They did not require any re-jetting for me but I have the stock air intake box and filter.  Love the system.  It's pretty quiet even with the internal silencers removed.  On the Vance and Hines, I do think you will have to remove it to drain the oil.

My FJ sports a v&h ssr2 system. If you drain your oil from the oil cooler return line with the bike on the side stand it works a treat. The weight difference is actually quite noticeable and the note it sings is music to my ears... I love tunnels.
Life's pretty straight without twisties.

What he just said! However, keep in mind, the V&H header has a reputation for rusting pretty quickly. Mine came with header wrap from the PO, I'm afraid of what I would find if I took the wrap off. It has a fresh repack of the muffler, sounds pretty reasonable to me.
