Wheel upgrade

In the gathering parts stage, acquired 2001 R1 calipers with the master cylinder. Now looking at some gsxr wheels. It looks like to me all of the gsxr 1100 wheels were the same from 89 to 93? I know the rear will work but will the front work as well. These will be going on my 84 with 90 forks.

Doubtful......but check in the Mod.Files section anyway. Look up the front axle diameter used on the Gixxer

You are looking for a front wheel that uses a 15mm axle which what your FJ front forks are sized for..

Then there is the issue of the speedo drive....does the Gixxer have one? If not, will your FJ speedo drive fit the Gixxer rim? Prolly not.

Then there is the issue of the brake rotors...is the Gixxer rotors 320mm? If so, no go...too big for your FJ's forks. Will your FJ 298mm rotors fit the bolt pattern on the Gixxer rim? Prolly not
