Where does this little sucker go?

Greetings!

Just got my hands on an -85 fj1100. being new to this bike I could use some help. On the left hand side is the IC Ignitor unit, and attached to this unit is a rather long rubber hose. The hose have marks from some kind of fitting in the other end, so i guess it's supposed to be fitted to something. I just can't for the life of me figure out where. Getting really, really frustrated! Surely someone out there can help me with this?

Really? I suppose You mean the little outlets that You attaches the carb syncing tool to? So the vacuum hose for the gas tank goes on number one, the IC-Ignitor goes on number two, and number three and four are sealed off?

Welcome Pete, this is a crazy place but well worth it as you just discovered. Many members here from around the world, with extensive knowledge and willingness to share it and keep all the FJs in the Kookaloo zone.

Make sure the hose will hold a vacuum before you hook it up.  Sometimes the diaphragm in the ignition box gets blown out that causes a vacuum leak.  That's why it is sometimes disconnected.

It it won't hold a vacuum, then don't bother hooking it back to a manifold port.
