correct GSXR brake mount?

Hello, wondering if someone can help me identity if I have the correct GSXR brake and mount?
In the top left pic you can see the brake mounted without the "thimble" spacer, top right pic you can see the thimble spacer mounted, but you will note that the mount sits about half inch away from the caliper.
The brake hanger and caliper were bought as from a 89?.... the rim is a  5.5 inch wide (1989)?
From what I have been seeing in photos around, the caliper/hanger look correct.
Do I have the wrong mix of items?

That "thimble" spacer is from the GSXR too? It looks like is not inserted in the rim like at the left pic
The OE 89 rim is 4,5". 90 on is 5,5"

I think that's it.  I just looked at my 5.5" setup and it is similar to your top right picture with the thimble spacer and all, but the caliper is tight to the hanging bracket as it should be.

OK, I just looked at part #'s for "89's and '90's and the caliper, bracket and thimble are all the same part number.  So everything to the out side of the hub is the same, so it should line up either way.  ?

  Maybe the  bearings on the brake side of the hub aren't fully seated.?

I had the same problem. I found out the wheel the breaker swore up and down was a 750gsxr rim. And he swore up and down the brake and bracket and spacers all came off the same bike. Were actually a wheel from a 600 gsxr and everything else was from a 750gsxr or 1100. The 600 wheel is the only one that is different the brake is set farther inside the mount for the brake is totally different. The way I found out the wheel was from a 600 was the sprocket I bought didn't fit. The 600 has 5 bolts everything else have 6 bolts. Does the wheel you have 5 or 6 bolts ?

From what I can see, you do not have the correct wheel. The hub on my 90 GSXR wheel is much more recessed. Other than that, the brake parts look correct.

Come to think of it. Didn't I just send you my sproket that I bought for the gsxr 750/1100. So if it fit you don't have the 600. If I rember right there is a different spacer for ...I think...the 750gsxr. That looks like 1/2 a thimble. The spacer fits inside the seal the thimble is the seal on most. If, you have a, seal for a,  spacer that goes into it that I will tell ya what wheel you have
I spent weeks looking @ oem microfeesh trying to figure out what I have.

Actually looking @your pic. You have your thimble in backwards. The  side that looks like a plate pressed on is supposed to act like the seal for the bearing. I only know from looking @the microfeesh.

sorry everyone.... I had the year wrong as it is a 91 rim as shown by the stamping on the spoke "webbing" and my purchase invoice
according to the Suzuki microfiche:
- the 88-92 Suzuki 750/1100 had 2 rims available: model K-4.5", model L 5.5"
- for 88-92 the same caliper/mount, 750/1100 gsxr
- the thimble spacer that you see in my pics is used from 86-93 in 750/1100 gsxr

all the bearings are seating correctly as the middle spacer is snug between them.
craigo- you might be onto something, as the center bearing mount sides seems to sit only about 1/8" below the surrounding rotor bolt surface on my rim
giantkiller -yes im the one that bought the drive sprocket from you ...what do you think I have here for a rim that reguires the half thimble spacer as you noted?

Hi Tony, not that I've done the GSXR rear wheel mod, but, it looks to me that that spacer is too long..... by the amount of the exposed threads in your caliper mount bolts - from your picture it looks like the caliper is centered over the rotor correctly.

I have an inch from the bottom of the hub to the top of the rotor.

I just went out and looked 2 my 92 600 rim and  the rotor  is  totally flush with the hub. I used the 93 750 (looks like half thimble) spacer with the bracket like you have on my 92 600 rim and it was perfect.That thimble spacer does look thicker than the rest. And your rotor spacing looks like it is in between mine and CraigO's. You could try the 93 750 spacer and see if it'll work. I think it was $9 or 10 from my local dealer. Or perhaps the thimble spacer is thicker. But I seem to remember all the thimble ones being the same No.

Also looks like the bronze bushing in the bracket is sticking out to the inside more. I think. if I remember right it comes out you could try flipping it in the bracket.
