EFI, has it ever actualy been done to an FJ

So I've been following the posts of CanD and others about EFI and turbo etc, and it got me wondering.  I have read so many times here and on the yahoo list where folks have started down the path of converted an FJ to be EFI.  Unless I've read it and forgotten it, I don't think I have ever actually seen it completed and working.

Has anyone ever actually done it?  Further, outside of a racing application where something *may* have accomplished using EFI, has anyone done it for a daily driver?

I have no doubt it *CAN* be done, I just have not actually seen it done, -that I remember -please feel free to enlighten me.

Steve Conklin, as I recall, came the closest on Thor, his HSR engined '91. He used 'busa throttle bodies on a custom manifold and a Microsquirt ECU. Last I heard he had it running, but since his accident on his GSXR 3 or 4 years ago, he has gone radio silent.

Always thought bolting in an XJR1300 engine (which is EFI) would be fun.  Too bad they were nover sold this side of the pond.

Steve tried that...didn't fit.
The XJR throttle bodies have the throttle position sensor located on the left side of the throttle bodies which makes the rack not fit between the FJ frame rails. The XJR has a backbone frame giving plenty of clearance, not so with the FJ perimeter frame.

   I have seen setups on other bikes using automotive style standalones, such as an Electromotive system. They are a little larger than ideal, but can be fitted. You can use a common manifold and a single automotive throttle body with injectors located near the intake valves. On a laptop you create ignition and fuel maps , and trim them using Manifold pressure and a wideband o2 sensor/sensors.
