Guys this is happening in July and is being organised by Charley Farley over on the FJR forum but I'm sure if some of you want to come along won't be a problem

Hi All

Had a chat with Megsy today. Our thoughts are.............

1. Not the June Long Weekend as Double Demerit points.
2. Not late June/early July as is Qld School Holidays until 8th July
3. Bingara be the location as a tad warmer than Glen Innes yet still in the spirit of a "Frozen Finger" ride & Bingara is a bit closer for the Sydney guys/not too far from BrisVegas or Central Coast & not much further than Glen Innes for the intrepid Gladstoneites.
4. We talked about Sat night being at Stanthorpe but it may be too far for our Southern brethern so Bingara seems more central.

Sooooo............ Unless the feedback is really negative/no one wants to come to this, draft plan is....

A. 12th/13th/14th July
B. Location is Bingara, NSW
C. Choice of two main rides on Sat (or do your own thing) - Bingara - Narrabri return or Bingara - Armidale Return
D. Main accomodation will be Imperial Hotel (TBC) but other options are available

Please note that 1 or 2 of the FJR's Grandaddies (FJ's, depending on your point of view) have indicated they would like to participate (to show us "young whippersnappers" a thing or two  ) as have 1 or 2 from Tamworth VJMC.

All in favour please raise your hands & say "Aye" either here or by PM or ph me on zero 47 eight 221 7 five 8

Would really like to get an indication of numbers interested (without any final commitment) before I look at shirts & phone the Pub.

OR, if any other suggestion (other than where I can shove this plan  ) please post up ASAP :shifty:

BTW... No, I have not appointed myself the "Fat Controller" of this event but Megsy has a few other things on his plate at present & we would like to get this locked in before it gets too late

Baldy,

Why don't you 'man up' and have your "frozen fingers" on the same date, but at the Cradle Mountain Lodge in your favorite state of Tas?  Would certainly be a more challenging location (and much better test for your alternator and electric clothes) than your effete Qld location.

Orrrr...cause you`re more...ummm... Delicate!.. You could ride down to the superbikes. Then across to Tassie. Fly Denise into Tassie for the ride of her life! (Brisssie to Launceston only $79 when ya got time to buy the specials with carry on only luggage, while Helmet & Jacket will take makeup & necessities ta make her comfy! That way they don`t get a chance ta pack high heels & useless weighty stuff! Hehhee).
Then head home via the Snowy Mountains  :yahoo: (or vice versa?)  - Depending on who joins ya where, -  you might become a Rally titleholder  :gamer:  (popcorn). Final nominations for Snowy Mountains Date (by PM`s only) close in two weeks. Esp Interested in overseas visitors itinerary opportunities. esp NZ, Africa, U.K, Hungary, Sweden, Papua New Guinea, Tasmania, Scotland, Ireland and Canada. As I'm not organising the ride in July & I also didn't pick the location it will be in northern NSW, its there to allow some guys who come from Gladstone and Sydney to attend and will make it a weekend ride.

 Many Thanks, Springy for your reply and the great news is the entire population of all those places are going to be at the Snowy Rally. (good Work)
Apologies to Alf as I now realise we forgot Spain.  :empathy3: (Alf, it would be great to see your country represented at our Downunder Anniversay Rally in the dry Sunny twisties of the Great Alpine Way of the Snowy Mountains - just let me know the date that suits you best. - World superbikes are on the last weeksend of feb in nearby Phillip Island.. )  Perhaps we should put this on a new thread? No probs Doug, since your heroic effort over the weekend in contacting all of the foreign ministers of said islands my email inbox has been full, they are all staying at my place and we will ride down together.

Though I think you introducing yourself to foreign diplomats as President of the Bellingen Replubic could have been a bit OTT

Just a "gentle" reminder that this ride is on  :gamer:

We have about 18 people (15 or so bikes) registered & booked into accommodation so far.

1 FJ is coming but also a few from Tamworth VJMC + a Ducati (spit, cough) ST2 rider

If you want to participate/join in our "fellowship & bonding" riding/drinking weekend then please give me a yell on 0478 221 758 or highpressure@iinet.net.au

Cheers
