Big D

Hi guys,

I have just picked up a non running 1987 FJ1200 (and I'm not from Seattle either) the old girl cost me $500 so I can afford to pay a couple more to get it going. I have just finished restoring a 1981 Kawasaki Z650 back to original condition so the FJ is another project to keep me out of the house and in the shed. Prior to the kwaka Z, my last bike was a brand new XJR1300SP back in 2001 and sold in 2004, married in 2005 (can anyone see a pattern forming?) so I'm just getting back into it.

Anyhoo, I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions during the journey. Keep upright all...

Welcome Bid D, good intro mate. The Red and Whites just keep coming. I guess I need to add one more Aussie to my list when I visit Down Under one of these days. The FJ is an easy bike to work on, and with this group and its knowledge, even easier.  Kookaloo.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

John.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in an attractive & well preserved body...but rather to slide in sideways, body completely worn out and and with your last dying breath screaming, "HOOOYA LIFE, lets try that again"!!!

Stay rubber side down.
