Bit the bullet! The Deka AGM 200CCA has been in the bike for just over 3 years and has been showing signs of extreme laziness for the past month. I have always used a battery tender and am a little surprised that I only got 3 years out of it to be honest.

Anyway........found a mob on Ebay here in Aus that sell SSB Lithium batteries so thought I would give one a try.....cost was $178.99 for a 380 CCA unit delivered.
Fitted it last night..... wow - what a difference. This morning hit the starter button and the bike started on the 1st compression stroke.
Now to see how long this one lasts!

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Bought an anti-gravity for my chopper (hi comp 113inch 120hp/120ft lb) when they first came out. With the biggest lead acid I could fit, if it didn't start on the first try. It didn't have enough left for a second try. The lithium will keep on cranking. Even without the compression reliefs pushed. Also use them in my atvs. But you have to make sure not to run them dead. I had my park lights on and ran mine down flat. It did recover but its not like it was.

Every body @ ECFR got a demonstration of my Weakened lithium battery. When I couldn't get my bike started. I had the carbs apart so many times. Trying to get them right in the days before the rally. That I didn't tighten the clip on the choke rod enough and had no choke. Cranked on it repeatedly before every body, finally convinced me it wasn't flooded and instead wasn't getting enough gas.
