i havent ridden my 85 for quite a while, the problem is everytime i put the bike in gear,it stalls, original clutch and slave, thanks in advance you guys are the best

failry common, start the bike, leave it out of gear, pull the clutch in and out several times, pull and hold it in for 30 seconds, repeat until your hear the sound of the clutch change, this will be the plates unsticking, you many have to do this before the first couple of rides until the clucth frees up.

I have kleptomania,
but when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

It seems to me that your problem may be that the SIDESTAND is down.
There is a "safety" switch that will cut the ignition if the sidestand is extended.

Yes, I know I'm repetitive and redundant.

To follow Arnie and the side stand safety switch. The switch itself could be inoperable, or the wiring to it defective.

If it just dies, it's likely electrical, clutch or sidestand switchery to blame.  If it's mechanical, it's a clutch system that's devoid of fluid, or simply sticking clutch plates.  Not a big deal in any case.
