...This is a big forum with a ton of boards (which I generally find frustrating, more clicking around to do, but ah well!). But it turns out there's a board for "Bikes for Sale".

Since I'm going through a ton of FJ ads, I'm occasionally sticking ones I find and pass over (too expensive, too nice, or just not what I'm looking for, or good for parts only) there. I'll probably keep doing this at least until I get one.

Just so you know, if you are looking for something, might want to keep an eye there and see if I find what you're looking for. (Hell, feel free to tell me to keep an eye out for something in particular.)

Not everyone understands what a completely rational process this maintenance of a motorcycle is. They think it's some kind of a knack or some kind of affinity for machines in operation. They are right, but the knack is almost purely a process of reason.

Something I *won't* be posting there...

...is THIS winner:

$300, firm on price.  :wacko1:

Is there a chance this is worth something to anyone? Maybe as a complete (edit: almost complete) set of fairings with a possible salvage on some other pieces here and there on ebay (seatpan? gauges?)? I don't think I've ever seen a bike in that bad of shape for sale anywhere...

Yesss, as a matter of fact, I'm doing a travelling roadshow where I attempt to jump 25 Hardlys with a double decker bus, but I'm sure we can use a pseudo stand in filler and besides most of the Hardlys break down on the way to the gig so we're always short of "participants"...
Nitrous is nice but I'd rather be blown.

Sniff, sniff, brings back memories of my beauty when it bought it. Almost..... :cray:
Yep, bought a piece of shit, and got it back to life. Not as pretty as 99% of the bikes the owners of this forum, have in their garages, but it is mine, it runs, it keeps me happy and I wear a full face helmet so my mates can't see it's me  :rofl2:

VMS

Motor alone is worth the $300 all day long, even if it doesnt run.
Then you have the carbs, ignition, and everything else.
Strip it down and parts it out for $2000 on eBay.
Pick it up if you're a local
