I just got this off his Facebook page and thought that those of us who know Jon would want to know and send him your well wishes.

Today has been interesting! At about 7:30 this morning I killed my nice new Arai helmet by smacking it on the street and stuffing it under a car, with my head inside it! I am beat up a bit, and my YZF has seen better days. Both hands are broken and some road rash, but that will all be fixed. PLEASE use your gear when you ride. My Arai saved my life today
