Does anyone have any experience using Stomp Grip on theit gas tanks?

Here is a general photo

I used a similar product on my GSX-R -sorry can't remember the name.  For me, I had to cut it to fit from a larger sheet.  Turned out OK.  You can see it in partially in my avatar picture to the left.  In theory it made for better leg grip -which for me, was intended to relieve pressure on my wrists.  (The Gixxer is no FJ after-all....).

It worked fairly well, I do feel more planted on the bike, -a bit more anyway.  I can squeeze with my legs and left with my back and relieve pressure off my wrists now, when I think of it.  Ultimately it seem to help most when I take both hands off the bars.

I did not take it off after installing it, so I guess that says something.  Hope this helps.

Thank you Dan. Your feedback is what I was looking for, I am not so much looking to use them as added grip with my knees. But to cover up some nasty scratches on one side of the tank. I probably will purchase the universal oversized sheets and trim them to fit.

Looks like nice material to use on my frame rails above footpegs on my dirt bike for better grip with my boots.

I've got a stomp grip on the FJR, mainly for scratch protection.  Works well enough.
