Starter cut off relay.

Seems my FJ 12 let me down today... hit the starter and nothing, had ignition lights so that was all good. Removed the seat and after checking the main fuse which was ok I grounded the White/blue wire on the starter relay and starter spun over... I wired a temporary switch so I can still ride till I can look farther.
I'm guessing it could be the starter cut off relay up front under the fairing, do these crap out much or should I be looking else where?
Bike is a 87 UK....I think.

Check  that the sidestand switch, and the clutch switch are working as Yamaha intended. Also check that the Run/Stop switch on the throttle switchblock is good.

Found the problem here quite quickly...
Was a poor connection in the connecter block pictured below.





Might want to check these next time your tank is off..
