Hi,
I just found this forum, so far it looks great!
I've owned 2 FJs, an '84 and the '90 that I have now. I bought the '84 new and put 63K miles on it, I had to sell it to purchase my house.
Once I was able to own another big street bike, I found the '90 and bought it used. I've got 68K miles on this one so far, I love the FJ.
I'm located in north county San Diego CA.

So HI again!

FJmonkey

Welcome to the club dude!! You will find a ton of useful (and not so useful but entertaining) information with the members here. I am most great full for all the knowledge and help I have received for the contributing members keeping my 86' alive and kicking. Any other FJ's that you know of in SD county? I have ride scheduled with Mike (another 86') this Sunday if you don't mind the drive up to North LA.

Hello, scottg, and welcome!

I'm also in SoCal, and also on the north side of LA, but not as far north as FJmonkey! :P

You've found a great hangout for FJ people!

Welcome Scott,
A few of us are close to you. Gazza (Gary) lives in Fallbrook, Denis (I think) is in the San Diego Area but he may have moved. Marsh is in Orange County, LA Mike is in Long Beach and I'm based in Palm Desert (but staying in Leucadia)
Glad you got back into FJ's. Let us know if we can help you. We *will* get together for a ride, Julian, Black Mesa, Borrego, Mt.Laguna all awaits us....

Hey Scott,

You have come to the right place.  There lots of FJ love going on round here.  :blum1:

Later......   :bye2:

Scott,

Welcome!  We'll have to do a ride out to Borrego and Palomar (if the cops haven't put a sheriff's office every mile along the Palomar road now - installed smart cameras in the trees - and have drones flying surveillance 24/7 over the mountain) - with "the Free Range Desert Irish", Gazza and LA Mike, etc.  Maybe we can plan this late next month (the 2nd half-ish of September) and then a certain "Convict Scum" can ride with us as well...

Anyway - many of us in SoCal have multiple FJs and are decent garage wrenches ourselves - so I feel pretty confident that should any of us have a problem - the rest of us can fix it.  Based on your other post - it sounds like you are a pretty decent garage wrench yourself...so keep in touch with us!

LA Mike

Welcome Scott,

We have a few of guys here in SoCal area and a ton of knowledge here on the forum. A ride next month would be great...

Although Scott I have to warn you that if that "Convict scum" is here for the ride you have to watch out "He's the most offensive guy on the web"

COOL! thanks for the warm welcome.
I'm fighting an issue with my bike right (I have posted a help request in the running problems area) but once it's fixed, I'll be looking for group rides.
FYI I'm an avid bike rider, both street and dirt (I ride an IT490 at Ocotillo Wells at least every thanksgiving) and I am a muscle car lover (mainly MoPars), I have a '66 Dodge Monaco 500 project car, I drive a V10 4X4 Dodge truck and my wife has a Dodge Nitro R/T.
I've owned 2 FJs, a Seca 750 plus a few Yamaha enduros (I am very brand loyal). I do all my own wrenching and have been very good at it until this current issue. .
Again, thanks for the warm welcome!
Scott
