crank rotation ?

Hello, just need confirmation of crank rotation direction looking from the rotor side ....manual says counter clockwise...  but if you look at the rotor you have TDC with the area below it indicating firing "range" so would it not make sense it turns clockwise? Im checking shims.

Correct, counter clockwise looking a the rotor rotation.

You want the ignition to fire Before TDC (BTDC).  So, CCW is the correct rotation (fire then rotate to TDC).  Be sure to remove the plugs so you don't accidently loosen the rotor.

If you turn the motor CW, you'll hear/feel it engage the starter clutch.

Thank you Randy and DavidR, after I sent the question  I realized.... firing first then TDC.. which  makes sense .....confirmation helps.
