This is a video I did the other day.  The first ride on a gravel logging road with the FJ.  The road is still snowed in at about the 3500 foot level. A fun ride.

Very cool, go where few FJ's, hell any street bike dares to go. Thanks for sharing....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Great that you chose not to avoid this road.  The scenery should have been spectacular.
That road was in pretty good shape too, well graded, hard, with only a little patch of corrugations, and a few potholes.  It was even not too highly crowned.
Thanks for sharing.  Maybe this will encourage some who are terrified of unpaved roads to give them a try.

cool!  I've been riding on a few miles of gravel road on my FJ almost weekly.  It's not too bad at all.

A couple of months ago I took the FJ on 8 miles of gravel road with a 16 percent grade in the middle.  I thought it was going to be way worse than it actually was.  Going down the steep gravel grade was way more intimidating then coming back up it (plus there was no guard rails and a straight drop on the side).  After the "pavement ends" sign at the beginning of the road, there was another sign that read "travelers not advised beyond this point" and a bunch of Harley riders sitting under it!  They just starred at me as I rolled on by getting their bikes all dirty from my dust!   :rofl2: :rofl2:
