Long time no post. I hardly put 1000 miles on the old FJ last year, and all of 60 so far this year, but I bit the bullet and ordered a bunch of parts it's really needed. New seals for the clutch slave, double up the clutch spring (it's heavy, but no worse than my '00 900 SS Duc), new front brake pads, RPM filter adapter, new tires, all on so far. Now for the hated fork seals and I'll be ready to kookaloo. Plus, all this quality time with the FJ keeps me browsing the forum. There's always something to learn.

Here's my update, the forks went fairly well. The worst part was getting the top caps to break loose after who knows how long they've been untouched. Once I got those and the bottom allen bolts to break loose, everything fell into place. No oil leaks, either, I'm happy to report, and the doubled up clutch spring isn't too bad. Reminds me of the 900 SS I used have, so it's not bad. The old lump may get some miles this year. Now, an open weekend with no particular place to go....
