Air Filter Breather Hoses Revisited

So...
On my road to smooth and silky riding, I removed the airbox before taking out my stock shock.

Removal was easy after I took out the upper subframe bolts, but I was mindless enough not to pay attention to the breather hose routing.
So, judging from previous posts and my Haynes manual,  one of the two hoses coming out from airbox is the crankcase breather hose.
The thick hose in this picture, right?

So now to my two small queries:

1) I assume the other thinner one on the bottom is a drain (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=2629.msg20813#msg20813), but where does it go? Just any routing down onto the ground?

2) Where do I connect the crankcase breather? I have circled the hole in the picture below where I assume it will go, based on deduction ("Elementary, my dear Watson"). Is this correct?

Until next time...

You do need to route the drain hose so that it drops oil in a place that will not end up directly on or under your rear tire.... see how it wants to go to the right side of the bike?  Let it!  drop it through one of the gussets in the swing arm or through some other small space so that it is held in place.

The crank breather hose does connect at the location you are pointing at!  :good:

Thanks for clearing it up!

I will pay more attention next time.
