I just bought an 85 FJ1100. Bought it in Chico, CA for $1000 while I was up for the weekend by train. Then cashed in my return train ticked and rode it 600 miles back home to San Diego.  It was much more comfortable on the drive than I was expecting. This is my first bike this big.

My other bike WAS a 1989 Suzuki GS500. I also have a 1974 Yamaha TY250.

This is the Suzuki now.

I know I might catch slag about this, but I'm considering doing a similar build with the new FJ. It sure would be fun to have a FAST bobber. Don't get me wrong, the Suzuki is plenty fast, but, compared to the FJ, it's a snail.  :good2:

I like ya sense of humour. I`d put the number plate holder from the bobbed suzuki and the towbar from the FJ on the sweet TY250. That`d make more sense.

Another San Diego bike... welcome to the group

Look for posting on our local rides in the Ride Section --- and you are just in time for the West Coast Rally -- postings on that too if interested.

Like the tricked out look, I was living in SD for a while and that  is  where I brought my fj1200. I love the bike ,it is a 1992, I just turned 100,000 miles and still runs like a top. I joined the forum today after meeting Marsh a couple of months ago, I am looking for a few parts though , like a washer that fit over the fairings screws, the front portion of the front fender , and a right side mirror. I am happy own this bike and glad that I joined this forum. look forward to see what you do to your FJ.

Hello Real Spinner cool bikes. People just buy and drive cars. Motorcycles they make there own! There is something about who ride, we are just different. I would not want it any other way!!!    :good2:
