Cheers for the welcome  :good2:
Just wondering FJmonkey, whats this 2nd gear issue you talk of. Haven't heard of any issues with the engine. Is it serious?
For me it happens when pulling hard in second gear hitting 6k RPMs or more, it starts popping in and out, almost like a rev-limiter. However, the condition gets worse the more you push it. The newer shift forks are stronger and you can get under cut gears to fix this. This requires splitting the cases, not a small job. I am babying my second gear till I can have Randy work some magic on it.

FJMonkey.... never knew you had " the issue"  It sounds just like how mine started and around the same mileage...actually if I recall mine was more around 55k miles -- first popping out at the power band ( 6K) ... then its starts to pop out at the lower RPM's 3K so you end up just skipping it all together.  I probably made things worst by engaging the gear too hard to compensate but that was so long ago now.... Good advice to baby 2nd until repair... short shift and don't try to push it in any harder than normal.
