Hi,
Was able to visit Bob's (wrecker) in Phoenix last week and picked up complete front end from an '89 including forks (complete), wheel, calipers and discs.  I also picked up rear wheel, disc, and caliper.  Question is, are the discs interchageable from the 84 to the 89?  Are the four pot calipers a worthwhile upgrade over the stock '84s?

Thanks for your advice,

Jeff

no the rotors are not interchangeable

besides the 17" front wheel the best part about the 89 setup is that you can use the monoblock calipers from the FZ1 (first gen)  or the earlier model R1 (blue spot calipers)   but in answer to your question yes the 4 piston calipers are indeed an upgrade from the early model two potters.
