Looked thorugh the threads but have not seen my dumb question.  Can I run a 130/90/16 on the front.  Of course it's a good deal!

Just add it a bit:  SlowOldGuy stole my idea for a handle, if you know what I mean.  I do not plan on dragging pegs or bashing fairings...just embarassing $20,000 harleys.

On a stock 86' wheel my 120 looks almost too rounded. I almost think a 110 would have a better profile. But a 130, that tire is gonna flop around and the HD guys will be laughing at you trying navigate corners.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Have a 120 on my 1100, but im using an 89 front, your 86 have the standard 16" rim , your right a 130 would flop around like sock full of cold custard , look ok sitting still though  (popcorn)
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

better than scratching your bike or yourself just for looks, maybe a front end upgrade would be a better option  (popcorn)

Avon Azaro 120/80/16 is very good radial tyre to fit in the OE 16 rim

I'm looking at the same dilemma.......how about a 110/90/16 or a 110/70/16 upfront??

I have an '86.

If I was not upgrading to 17" up front I would consider a 110/70/16 if I can find it in a sticky enough compound. I have my last Avon ST45 on the 16" front right now. I have been happy with the Avons. Once I have the 17" on the 120/70/17 should have the proper profile.

I just searched the web for 110/70/16 tires, scooter tires? On a 1100/1200 cc scooter, weird.
