Another "winter storage" question

My bike sits from middle November to middle April,or so. I have always increased tire pressure, while parked,to about 50psi in an attempt to stop flat spotting.  I just read in a (kawasaki) owners manual to drop pressure to 20 for storage.  I'm sure that they are smarter that i....but it seems or appears, that at low pressure,or half flat, that the tire would get a major flat spot sitting that way.     What do you do?

Put bike on centrestand, block up the front end of the bike so that both wheels are of the ground.

What do you mean, you don't have a lathe?

+1.  I have read where concrete draws the oils out of tires, making them brittle etc. hence the need to get them off the ground if the bike is to be parked for a while.
