Nimbus

My Handle is 'Nimbus' because I have a model C 1953, which I fully restored and use it on sunny days and some show n' shines, with 4 first place awards out of 4 entries in my class. I am an old fart and will be 60 this year. I have owned 26 motorcycles. Started with 50cc and worked my way up. Spent 6 years active trials riding. After my kids did not need me so much I wanted a big bike. Found a 92 FJ with 87,000 km and not running, but in very nice condition. After a labourous carb rebuild I now have a rocket machine. I now have some 110,000 km on the odo with one season of track days. I actually bought a 2008 kawi concours and did 16,000 km touring before I had to give it up as the wife could no longer do long distance riding. I Went back to my old FJ and find it a more enjoyable sporty ride. This summer I have planned a 5000km trip to Yukon/Alaska. Love this forum and will try to post pictures and my upgrades in the future.

Welcome, sounds like you have some really good stories for us, on the FJ and other bikes. I think you are gonna like it here. Get comfortable and enjoy the ride with us.

Welcome to the forum Nimbus.  Please post pictures of your trip to Alaska on the FJ when the time comes.  It'll make for some great photos I'm sure.

I'll also turn 60 this year, but I can still jump and 2 hand dunk a basketball. (and thus be bedridden for a week)

Welcome Nimbus. I hope you can make one of our FJ rallies.  Cheers!  Pat
