Welcome mate, thanks for the intro. Great group here to help you keep your FJ the best bike you ever owned. Been too long since you made a rally. Get after that will you?
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Yea, when I read of another Colorado FJ Rally I was really considering it.  However my plate is pretty full already so for this year so I'll live vicariously through you guys and read all the great posts.  Don't fret though, it's got 60,000 miles from other rallys I attend, the picture above is from the www.glmc.org "grand-tour" rally I parcipate in each year.  I'll also be traveling 550 miles for what I hear are pretty good burgers: http://moonshine-run.com/Moonshine/

Really nice paint on that bike. Did you come up with the scheme or ??

I grew up in Barron, WI  just east of St. Croix Falls -35 miles.

Where is Hamburg?

Dads_FJ

I always liked the way the Yamaha RZ350 looked so I sort of patterned it after that bike.  If I were to do it over I would add some white like the RZ has.  Hamburg MN is west of the Twin cities (Minneapolis/St.Paul), but I live in Claremont which is SE MN.  Hamburg was part of the Rally I was in back in '10... the goal was to travel to towns which ended in Ton or Burg, or Berg.  Last years rally was to go to towns which had something to do with water, here is Spring Grove - Kids love it and it's a great reason to travel to towns you might not otherwise go to.

Thanks Randy & Frank!
yup, K-man was in Gunnison in '05, it was my first Rally and I think his too!  It was a trip of a lifetime and it'll happen again for me, just not this year.  I learned a lot about traveling long distances (1200 miles for me each way), limits of the FJ (not many!), but really I just had a great time with fellow FJ'ers.  :drinks:
