Pics of the bike after last months accident. I thought I had a better shot of the tank dent somewhere. I'll try to find it and re upload.

Realized the fork brace was torked yesterday. It's finally running without smoking, and I haven't noticed it smoking from underneath anymore, so that's a plus. I have a front fairing in the shed already. I'm not sure how bad the control bars are since I'm not able to get on it and set everything straight yet. All in all, I think a new fairing+gas tank will be the brunt of the repair work....that I can see.

Nate,

Looks like you were hurt much worse than the bike.
Heal quickly.
Good to read that you're already sourcing parts to repair your bike.

Cheers,
Arnie

Glad you are recovering.  Looks like the helmet did a good job protecting your head and face.

Hope you heal fast.  Take care.

I took my helmet to my office the other day to show the Harley folks the importance of a full face helmet.

They didn't like not being able to smoke+drink they're coffee.

The picture of the helmet said it all.  :dash2: Thanks for the post and get well soon.

Thanks!

Doing alright. I went back to work 2 weeks ago...6 weeks out of work. Yuck. I don't know if it's latent issues, or caused by seeing a chiropractor, but I've been having really bad vertigo and nearly passing out. I almost went completely down last wednesday, but came to and caught myself before I went completely over. Almost blacked out at my dads naval retirement ceremony on friday. Spent monday night in the ER to get another head scan. I hate going to the ER, but it was going to be weeks before a neurologist could see me, and I didn't want to wait that long if something was wrong. Hell, even after the full  body ct scan, I still had to convince them that my foot was jacked up...figured maybe they missed something on my noggin as well. Head looked fine but they did spot a small abnormality while on the EKG. I see a neurologist first of July.

It's been rather rainy the last few weeks here in VA, but on days it's not, I'm terribly missing riding. Seeing that pristine FJ1200 a few weeks back didn't help either. Waiting to get a few guys over to help me move the FJ from the driveway to the back shed, where I can start tearing it down and prepping for a rebuild. Only thing I think I'll really need are new turn signals+mounts, and a gauge cluster. I possibly have an issue with the bars/triple/forks, but won't know for sure until I get the fairing off and inspect everything properly. Could be a good excuse for the 17" upgrade.
