Well guy's, I finally experienced Kookaloo today.

First of all, I fitted the rebuilt front forks – YSS in Adelaide did a magnificent job, not the cheapest option, but they set them up 100% to suit me. For the very first time on a road bike, I went to this expense and the difference is amazing.
I also did my very first multiple carb, clean, rebuild balance and tune – Thanks so much to David R for the fantastic advice in the carb files. You are worth you weight in gold my friend.
Thank you too Randy @ RPM, the rebuild kit and other bits and pieces purchased from your site saved me so much grief and made the carby rebuild a breeze.
Also checked and re-checked the valve clearances – all good.
Changed out the black goop which has masqueraded as oil, new filter and plugs – so far so good.

Then, for the very first time in 6 odd months since I have owned this beast, I was confident enough to open it up and see what you all have been raving about.
HOOOLLLY SHIT. This is the most amazing piece of machinery, I have ever had the pleasure of sitting on. :yahoo:
Home 2 hours later, sore arms from trying to hang on, and best of all sore mouth from grinning so much.

A huge thanks to everyone that contributes their valuable experience to this board.
It has made life so much easier.

My best wishes to you all. :drinks:

Mike-

At least you earned your addiction.  Most folks here got +/- the 'first dose is free' treatment, ala; drug pusher youth uptake strategy...  Then of course, once you're hooked, moditus sets in and the $$ starts to flow... as if it was somehow planned that way....  Hmmmm.

Congrats on getting her going.

Dan is exactly right...Kudos to you Mike. You earned it. This is the feeling we have when we work on our bikes and they respond....pure joy.  :good2:

Careful you don't crack your helmet wide open from the huge grin and reduce your Kookaloo budget.....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Hi Guys, thanks for all the encouragement. It didn't take too long to work out I own a bottomless money pit. You blokes don't help with all your fancy mods and shiny parts, everytime I make a list and a budget, someone here posts more pictures and I have to start again. :dash1:
Luckily i am blessed, wife to be, loves the bike as much as I do, and although i am ashamed to admit it, she was the one who talked me in to buying it. Now everytime I need (want) to spend money on it, i just have to remind her who chose it in the first place. :good:
